    Dear ASLA Florida Chapter,

On behalf of the ASLA Florida Executive Committee, I would like to proudly recognize two of our ASLA Florida members, Emily O'Mahoney and Ebru Ozer, for their nomination to National positions within the American Society of Landscape Architects.

Emily O'Mahoney has been nominated for President-Elect of ASLA National. Emily's commitment to the profession and dedication to ASLA has been evident through the many hats she has worn for our Florida Chapter and nationally. Among her involvement, she has served as Florida Chapter President, Trustee, Conference Chair, LARE Review Instructor, GAC Chair and is currently serving on a number of committees and initiatives. The president elect position will be voted on by the full membership during late April through May.

Ebru Özer has been nominated for the Vice President of Education at National ASLA. She has served on the Florida Chapter’s Executive Committee as the Florida International University Faculty Representative for almost a decade, and chaired the chapter’s awards committee for several years. Ebru is the current Treasurer and Board of Director for the Council of Educators in Landscape Architecture (CELA). The Board of Trustees will vote on the Vice President positions during their spring meeting in April.

Emily and Ebru, the ASLA Florida Chapter thanks you for your contributions and dedication to the advancement of Landscape Architecture and for all of your time and volunteering efforts.

    Sincerely,

    Alexander Fenech

    ASLA Florida Chapter President
