Disney Skyliner & Riviera

Description: This tour led by Walt Disney Imagineering and EDSA features an up-close look at Disney’s Skyliner, a gondola system providing connectivity to multiple theme parks and resorts within Walt Disney World Property. The tour explores the Disney Skyliner as an integrated transportation system that directly supports and enhances WDW Resorts including Disney’s Riviera Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, and Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, with each station thoughtfully designed to reflect its destination’s storyline. Additionally, the tour will highlight Disney’s Riviera Resort as a story-driven landscape inspired by European seaside travel, that will explore the amenity areas and arrival. Participants will examine planning rationale, landscape strategies, operations, and sustainability across stations directly serving the four resorts and two theme parks.

Evermore Resort

Description: This tour is to the two-year-old Evermore Resort featuring unique approaches to resort development and amenities. A three-acre crystal lagoon pool, golf, hotel, apartments and single-family home sites will be toured. The tour will focus on land acquisition, master planning, site design, circulation planning, landscape programing, construction stages, and the ongoing facility maintenance. Tour leaders are Evermore development manager Al Penny and Evermore landscape architect Brandon Huffman. Both Al and Brandon were on the design and construction teams for the entire resort.

Swan Reserve & Dolphin Convention Center

Description:  This site tour explores three interconnected hospitality projects at the Walt Disney World Dolphin, Swan, and Swan Reserve hotels, highlighting the critical role of Landscape Architecture in shaping circulation, grading, accessibility, drainage, and guest experience within a complex resort environment. Attendees will review the recently completed Dolphin Convention Center Expansion, focusing on guest circulation, grading solutions, drainage, egress, lighting coordination, walls, railings, and existing site constraints; the Connectivity Project linking the three hotels, showcasing how landscape-driven design influenced circulation, maintenance, Live Oak preservation, grading, views, and long-term flexibility; and the Swan Reserve Pool, Arrival, and Breakout Terrace areas, where discussions will center on contractor coordination, hotel brand standards, amenity deck design, circulation, and outdoor gathering spaces. Throughout the tour, participants will gain insight into how Landscape Architects balance technical requirements with operational functionality and immersive guest-focused design.

Storyboarding the Landscape SketchWalk

Description: Join us for a SketchWalk from the Swan and Dolphin Resort to the promenades of the Disney Board Walk area as we explore a sequential sketching path through water-rich landscapes and the unique architectural spaces of these resort settings. Participants will engage in storyboard and diagramming exercises designed to observe, record, and analyze the character of place. Please bring your favorite sketching materials and dress for warm weather.

Tour of the Town of Celebration 

Friday, July 17 | 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM Registration Fee: $45

Walking Distance: 1 Mile

Description: Join in with Celebration Town architects and landscape architects who will lead this interactive tour of the New Urbanist community of Celebration, Florida. The tour will focus on the architectural styling, site layout and unifying features developed in the master planning of the community. The tour will focus on the central business district and the central residential areas of the town. The layout and development of passive and active parks in the town will be a centerpiece of the tour. The management and maintenance of the 30-year-old town will also be covered.
