Join us for a unique outdoor adventure in the heart of the Big Cypress National Preserve. Explore the stunning cypress swamp on a NPS guided walk, learn about the local ecosystem, and network with South Florida landscape professionals.

What to Expect:

• Educational Presentation: Learn about the National Park Service and the Big Cypress National Preserve.
• Guided Walk: Explore the cypress swamp and experience its beauty firsthand.
• Networking Opportunity: Connect with professionals from the region over delicious food.

Event Schedule:

• 9:30 AM: Arrive at the Big Cypress National Preserve Headquarters
• 9:30 - 10:15 AM: Overview of the National Park Service and Big Cypress National Preserve
• 10:15 AM: Restroom break
• 10:30 AM: Travel to the trailhead
• 10:45 AM - 12:30 PM: Guided walk through the cypress swamp
• 1:00 PM: Stone crab lunch at City Seafood in Everglades City sponsored by DIV32 & Green Theory

What to Bring:

• Reusable water container
• Comfortable, closed-toe shoes (sneakers recommended)
• Long pants (mandatory)
• Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen)
• Change of clothes and shoes (optional)

Please note:

• The walk will involve wading through water.
• Walking sticks will be provided by NPS.
• Rideshare/carpooling options are available from Miami. Please indicate your interest during registration.
