    Join ASLA Florida for our 2021 LARE Review  Seminars. Beginning in January and concluding in March, ASLA Florida will be offering Review sessions for Sections 1-4, Florida Section and Irrigation. Learn more about Section 2 below. 

    The Section 2 Review will cover:

    • Physical Analysis
    • Contextual Analysis

    The Section 2 Review Session is a pre-recorded session and will be offered at two times for your convenience. Please register for the session time that works best for you:

    Tuesday, January 26th: 12:00 - 1:00 p.m.

    Wednesday, January 27th: 5:30 - 7:00 p.m.


    Question and Answer Session with the Instructors: 

    A Q&A Session  will be held Thursday, January 28th from 5:30 - 6:00 p.m Please save your questions for the Q&A session with the instructors.

    This scholarship award is available yearly for up to two (2) young professionals that are currently pursuing their licensure in the state of Florida and will cover the cost of the LARE review prep course.

    Other requirements are as follows:

    1.  Active member of the ASLA Florida Chapter.
    2.  Planning on attending the entire LARE Review Seminar
    3.  In 300 words or less, provide a short essay in PDF or Microsoft Word format, describing your background, current educational pursuits, future plans, other personal interests or activities, brief statement of your financial needs, why you should be considered for this scholarship and how it will help carry on some of the areas that Mike Oliver extended himself to the advancement of his profession and service to the community.  The essay should be no more than two pages with margins of at least 1”, 12-point or larger font, and no images or graphics. Please include Applicant Name, Essay for the Mike Oliver Educational Scholarship Award, and page number on each page.

    Understanding the Tree Market

    Join us, February 11th, for a presentation exploring the market dynamics of the woody ornamental tree market in Florida and the Southeast. Learn how housing demand and economic cycles affect the pricing and availability of plant material and understand how market forces limit the selection and availability of plant species. This presentation will also explore how landscape architects and nurseries can promote the increased use of new, under-utilized and native varieties.
