| Kelsey Trujeque I am interested in continuing to serve on the ASLA Florida Executive Committee because I believe I can support the organization that elevates the profession and protects Landscape Architects' right to work so we can continue to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public. Serving on the Executive Committee for the last 5 years and holding multiple positions provides me with unique insights at each level of the organization. I have worked in both the public and private sectors affecting the nexus of built environments to effectuate what makes strong, resilient communities. I possess a long, personal history of advocacy and experiences that intersect advocacy, public policy, planning, and landscape architecture. Licensure needs to be preserved and promoted because it demonstrates Landscape Architects possess the education, practical experience, and rigorous examination required to design and build projects that oftentimes impact the public health, safety, and welfare of our communities. In 2024, I was selected by the ASLA Fund for the most recent cohort of the Licensure Advancement program. Serving as the Member-at-Large is my way of paying it forward and serving our members. I am interested in serving on the ASLA Florida Executive Committee because I would like to become more actively involved in ASLA and the broader landscape architecture community. Serving as a chair would allow me not only to contribute my time and skills, but also to encourage others to engage more deeply with the profession and the organization. I recently obtained my professional license last year, and I am passionate about helping guide emerging professionals as they navigate their own path to licensure.
